"Hi Valerie...
I left you a message earlier on your voicemail about my cholesterol test results. Total is 174 (down from 242) and LDL is 111 (down from 141) !!!!! A big thank you for helping me get there.
I also would like to thank you for:
Being a good listener. You listened to my goals, came up with a game plan and we
came REALLY close. I wanted to be 190 lbs by now and I'm 195. Missed it by 5lbs
but I consider it a success.
Not having an ego. You tell me what I should do. I tell you I don't like something and you have NEVER made me feel uncomfortable in being honest. I tell you I don't like it, you're determined to make me focus on that part of the body and you give me a different excercise to accomplish the same thing. Sometimes I don't even do it and NEVER have you made me feel bad about it. You always get me to do it a different way that works.
You have NEVER tried to sell me on more than I wanted or needed. You could have tried to schedule me for weekly sessions or more but didn't. That meant a lot to me. It means that seeing a client succeed is more important than making a client pay for more than they needed.
Valerie, I guess I am just thanking you for being a true professional and I appreciate
everything!!!
p.s. We still have work to do :)"

Recovering from hip replacement surgery can be a humbling experience. Healthy people take for granted their mobility and integrated movements. People recovering from joint replacement need to re-learn stability muscle memory and strength.
Determined to be in better shape for my next surgery, I enlisted the skills of Valerie Merriweather of Fitwell Training Solutions. In our monthly meetings she gave me a plan of stretching and core stability training that developed by overall strength and my confidence.
My second surgery was more extensive, but my recovery was easier. Spending ten minutes on a stationary bike took three weeks to accomplish in physical therapy after my first surgery. I did the exercise easily at the third session of therapy after Valerie’s pre-op training. My physical therapists were surprised at the difference. I felt better, moved easier and more confidently. Thank you Valerie for aiding my recovery and giving me a life plan for health.
